A Snowless December Senior Session in Palmer, Alaska

A Snowless December Senior Session in Palmer, Alaska

This winter has been full of surprises here in Alaska, and December was no exception! Typically, I'm preparing to navigate snowstorms and frigid winds for my senior sessions, but this year, I had the rare opportunity to work in completely snow-free conditions – in December, no less!

I had the pleasure of working with Cameron for his high school senior session, and let me tell you – this guy has a smile that lights up the camera! He was such a natural in front of the lens, making my job so much easier and a whole lot of fun. Originally, we had planned for a snowy winter backdrop, but with the weather being so unusually mild, we had to pivot to a new location.

We decided to explore the beautiful riverbed and some golden fields near Palmer, Alaska. The change of scenery turned out to be the perfect backdrop for the session, offering soft, warm tones that complemented Cameron’s relaxed yet confident vibe. Sometimes, a little detour leads to the best results, and I couldn’t be happier with how the session turned out!

Cameron, thank you for being such a joy to work with, and I wish you all the best in your future adventures. The world is at your feet, and I know you’ll do amazing things!
